Six out of seven leaders contesting for this year’s presidential seat have pledged their commitment to ensuring that this year’s general elections are conducted in a free and fair manner.
The Electoral Commission required of the contesting candidates to sign a peace declaration, ahead of the elections.
With the exception of PPP’s Flagbearer Papa Kwesi Nduom who was represented by his Vice Presidential candidate Bridgitte Dzogbenuku, all other Presidential aspirants signed the peace deal.
The program which came off at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra featured : President John Mahama (NDC), Nana Akufo-Addo (NPP), Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings (NDP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet(CPP), Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama(PNC), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom(PPP) and Jacob Osei Yeboah an independent candidate.
