This week promises to be a very busy one with two of the presidential aspirants of the major political parties-National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP)-criss-crossing virtually every nook-and-cranny of the country to canvass for votes.
Whilst President John Dramani Mahama, who is seeking a second term bid on the ticket of the NDC will be heading towards the Eastern Region, presidential aspirant of NPP will be moving troops to the Volta region to campaign.
At the eastern region, Bismark Tawiah Boateng, the regional chairman of the party confirmed to the media this morning that President Mahama will be commissioning a number of projects, including a community day secondary school and inspect some of the road networks under construction.
The President, whilst in the eastern region will also be paying a courtesy call on the chief, Okyehene, Amoatia Ofori-Panin at his palace before he would fire up the numerous party supporters to ensure the agenda 50-50 becomes a reality come the December polls.
Nana Akufo Addo, on the other hand would be blitzing through the world bank of the NDC. He first place of call, according to Hopeson Adorye, one of the flagbearer’s yes-men, would be the Afadjato constituency where he will address the electorates on why the need to vote for the NPP.
From there, Akufo-Addo will be heading straight to the Hohoe constituency where he would also be telling the people about the change agenda.
Aside the presidential candidates, other influence peddlers on the campaign trail are heading to other places all in the bid to canvass for votes.
