President John Mahama, has held bilateral talks with some leading Dubai companies on the sidelines of the Africa Global Business Forum.
They are the Dubai Ports Authority, Emirates National Oil Comapany and the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, TAQA.
Held behind closed door, a reliable source tells Radio Ghana’s correspondent at the forum that TAQA’s meeting was to brief President Mahama, on the progress of work to increase energy generation capacity of the Aboadze plant from the current 220 Megawatts to 330 Megawatts.
The Dubai Ports is expressed interest in governments Port expansion projects and is looking forward to partnering governments and the Ghana Ports and harbours Authourity (GPHA) to build new terminals across the country.
The CEO of the Emirates National Oil Company have also shown interest in partnering with the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company limited (BOST) to explore Ghana’s Oil and Gas sector.
