The President of the Republic Of Ghana, President John Dramani Mahama has affirmed his belief that Ghana will soon realize its potential to become a beacon of hope for the entire African continent.
The president made this remark as he conducted an inspection of ongoing road projects in Takoradi, one of the twin cities in the Western region.
Below is a small segment of the President speech that was well received by those who accompanied him on his inspection of the road project.
“We are constructing roads; we are extending electricity, we are providing people with good drinking water; we are building bridges; we are expanding the ports. Ghana is growing. It is going forward. It is not going back. We are going to overcome the economic challenges we are facing…The cedi will stabilize, the inflation will come down and Ghana will become the shining blackstar of Africa”.
Despite the obvious unpropitious challenges that country is facing, President Mahama believes that is just a matter of time for the nation to break free from the shackles of underdevelopment.
In an article published on Joy FM’s online news portal, the President of Ghana stated that he has put in place a stalwart economic advisory group that would transform the economic fortunes of the country.
He also inferred that the visible progress made on the Takoradi road project was another strong indication that despite the economic challenges of Ghana the wheels of development are still rolling.
What are your opinions of the President’s assertion. Do you believe that Ghana is truly on the path to the unparalleled greatness that has eluded since gaining independence in 1957.
