President Akufo-Addo today (March 6), cut the sod for the construction of a national cathedral.
The Cathedral which is to be located close to the State House in Accra, will be an inter-denominational worship centre and use for all national religious programmes.
It is part of the Ghana, 60 years on, legacy projects.
President Akufo-Addo said the project will be the centre to lift up the country spiritually.
The funding of the project will come from the Christian community.
A member of the planning committee of the project, Most Rev Emmanuel Asante Antwi was grateful to the President for his commitment to the project.
