President Akufo-Addo and Vice Bawumiah Take Oath of Office

Nana Akuffo-Addo has officially been sworn in as the Fifth President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode led the Akufo-Addo through the oath of office with a Bible in his right hand.

Having taken the oath as required by the laws of the state, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially been given the mandate to exercise the powers of his presidency beginning today.

Preceding his was Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumiah’s swearing in also led by the Chief Justice.

President Nana Akufo-addo shortly after the swearing in delivered his very first address as President to the nation.

Their official duties as President and Vice President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana begins today.
