The General Manager of the GN Research, Sam Ampah has debunked media reports that a recent poll conducted by his organization suggests that the New Patriotic Party’s candidate Nana Akufo-Addo will win the December polls.
He was emphatic that though the NPP presidential candidate led in some key sectors, the research was not conclusive that he will win the elections
With a sample size of 3,000, the poll conducted in the Greater Accra region by the GN Research indicates that Nana Akufo-Addo is someone people can bank their hope on in the areas of Education and Health.
Respondents however felt Progressive People’s Party’s Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom is capable of creating jobs (employment) than the other candidates, it said.
Though Mr. Ampah earlier sought to argue that the research was not targeted at next month’s presidential election, he contradicted that posture when he predicted that the poll will go to a run-off.
Mr. Ampah told host of Yen Nsempa morning show on Onua FM, Bright Asempa, a possible run-off will be between Papa Kwasi Nduom and Nana Akufo-Addo.
He also believes the governing National Democratic Congress’ candidate John Mahama is still a strong contender who will push the election to a second run.
The GN Research also indicates that 59.2 percent of Ghanaians showed dissatisfaction with the performance of President John Mahama.
