Police retrieved some offensive weapons and dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp from the suspects who would be arraigned before court in the course of the week.
Meanwhile, a self-styled pharmacists who is alleged to have defrauded a worker of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to the tune of GH¢25,000 under the guise of selling a vehicle to him was among those lined up.
41-year-old Kojo Kwakye a.k.a Biggie is alleged to have defrauded several others under the same modus operandi according to the police before he was arrested.
Giving a blow by blow account on how police closed up on him, Deputy Regional Police Commander ACP Ampofo Duku explained “On March 13, 2017 about 10:20 am the complainant called the accused person on phone, the accused asked the complainant to meet him at Daaban and that he was buying doors for his personal project, normally negotiations are not done near the vehicle because ultimately they know they are going to swindle you, going to take your money and also if the car belongs to them, move the car away before you get to where the car is parked so negotiations are made at a distance.
So he was told to his surprise that the car belongs to her but had not sold it to anyone, this man rushed to the negotiation place and both men were nowhere to be found”
