Bishop Agyin-Asare told the congregation of Perez Chapel International in Sunday, 2 April that Perez University College that: “For us as a church, this university is not a commercial venture because in the first place it is registered as an NGO. For us, it’s a ministry God has given to us.”
“Recently I was praying and the Lord said to me: ‘Charles because you have a burden for the youth, I gave you this university, I want Youth Explosion to become permanent that is why I gave you this university. So, it’s not a money-making venture, in fact, most of the private universities in Ghana are not making money anyway, no matter the fees they are charging,” he added.
Dr Agyin-Asare noted that Perez University will set high moral standards worth emulating.
“Today when you look at the students coming out of the universities, in the universities there is occultism, they have one thing or the other, God has called us to set up a school that is free of occultism, homosexuality, lesbianism, students that are coming out that are corruption-free.”
“We have given ourselves eight-and-a-half years, in eight-and-a-half years, we are going to be among the top ten universities in Ghana, it is going to happen,” Bishop Agyinasare promised.
