Host of Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Morning Show, Kwame Sefa Kayi has described as shameful, a decision by the Electoral Commission of Ghana to charge journalists for accreditation ahead of the December polls.
Speaking at a stakeholder meeting organised by the Media Foundation for West Africa on Monday December 21, 2016, the seasoned journalist said the act is one that may compel journalists to ‘report disaster’ when the country goes to the polls on December 7.
Chairman General, as he is popularly referred to, further lashed out at the Nima Police for failing to arrest perpetrators of violence at the residence of NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo last week claiming the police unit is being selective in the handling of issues relating to electoral violence.
Scores of supporters of the two leading parties in the country on Sunday November 13, 2016, clashed at the residence of the NPP flagbearer when some supporters of the governing NDC who were embarking on a health walk allegedly pelted stones and broken bottles at some NPP supporters who were at Akufo-Addo’s residence.
