The seventh Parliament has taken a break for the Easter holidays and are expected to be back till late May.
Delivering his closing remarks to end the over 13weeks session, Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon.Prof.Mike Oquaye commended Members of Parliament for their cooperation in seeing through the work of the House.
He however urged members to strive to be more punctual when they resume in May and also indicated the Private Members Bill as well as a Code of Conduct for Members will be one of the immediate issues to be considered when the House resumes.
This current parliament witnessed the Budget Statement for 2017, State of the Nation Address, passage of several bills including the Appriopriation Bill,Energy Sector Levies(Amendment)Bill and the adoption of budget estimates for the various Municipal Districts Assemblies(MDAs).
