Founder and leader of Glorious Word Ministry International, Reverend Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has described as hypocrites those who tell pastor to desist from talking politics.
He explained that those people will cast insinuations and insult pastors for making a declaration from God on politics, yet expect them (pastors) to condemn acts of political violence and pray to avert calamities on the nation.
“If that is not hypocrisy, then I do not know what it actually is”, he added.
The founder made these statements in a sermon to his congregation last Sunday on the theme; Men of God and Governance.
Rev. Bempah stated that since God has a stake in choosing a leader for the country, men of God cannot be separated from politics.
What people should know, he said, is that they do not speak for any political party but only come out with the message of God which they do not have any control over.
“Left to me alone, I would I have kept quiet but I cannot rebel against God so His message pierces and pushes me to speak up”, he indicated.
He sought to know the relevance of Peace and Christian Council whose members are mostly religious leaders and have the agenda to ensure peace prevails in the country.
He admonished those that see messages from pastors with a political spectacle to begin to realize that, without the use of them (pastors) and the Bible in governance, the country and the world has no better future.
