Gospel musician, Mrs. Twum-Ampofo, popularly called Ohemaa Mercy, has commenced her borehole project for Ghana prisons.
The gospel singer’s Borehole project for Ghana prisons is done in collaboration with her ministry.
The ‘Aseda’ singer on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 cut sod at the James Town Prison in Accra.
At the sod-cutting ceremony, she thanked officers at the prison for accepting her offer to embark upon such a project.
The visit by Ohemaa Mercy to the James Town Prison was her third time after releasing her first album.
“I’m grateful to your outfit for allowing us to do this. It is something Ohemaa Mercy Ministry has been doing for some time now and this is my third time coming here.
Commander of James Town Prison, Francis Selorm Hagbe, thanked Ohemaa Mercy and her team for coming to their aid.
He noted that the borehole will help the prison in numerous ways which will positively affect the lives of the inmates.
Ohemaa Mercy and her team after the groundbreaking ceremony toured the prison and encouraged the inmates to trust in God.
