The New Patriotic Party’s manifesto for the 7 December 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections is a good document that contains policies and programmes to deal with the fundamental issues affecting Ghanaians, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the NPP, has said.
As part of preparations for the elections, the NPP on Sunday October 9 launched its manifesto at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre.
Mr Akufo-Addo, who presented a copy of the manifesto to the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) in Accra on Wednesday October 12, said: “There are issues out there for the Ghanaian people about their wellbeing, about their security, about their capacity to get jobs, and to promote their own development. We (NPP) are saying that we are going to provide the framework for resolving those issues for solving the problems that are before us.”
“This document is a good document. It will not pretend to answer all the issues in Ghana, but the fundamental matters that we have to come to grips with are provided.”
He added: “…If really you are serious about the growth and development of the country, you are bound to listen to those out there and work with them to resolve the issues. If you turn your back on them, for me then it means you are not interested in the growth and development of the country.”
