NPP Threatening Supporters If NDC

A deputy minister of Education Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has accused the main opposition New Patriotic Party of intimidating NDC supporters in the Volta Region.

He said the opposition members are scaring the umbrella family in the region with mayhem and chaos if they come out to vote in December.

Addressing a press conference in the region, the former deputy Information minister alleged that the NPP has threatened to deploy guards along the border communities to prevent Ghanaian residents in Togo from coming out to vote.

“We have noticed some overt and covert moves by our political opponents to intimidate NDC members in the Volta region. They claim that all kinds of attacks might be waged against the good people of this region especially in the boarder communities, on or before the election. We ask the good people of this region to treat all those reports with the contempt they deserve.

“NDC in the Volta region will not be intimidated by any group of persons. Every Ghanaian living anywhere in the world must be encouraged to carry out their civic responsibility,” he said.
