The agents who represented their parties are yet to be paid in Upper West Akyem
Agents who represented both the outgoing National Democratic Congress (NDC), and the incoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) in last week’s presidential and parliamentary elections in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern region are yet to be paid, regional correspondent, Prince Collins Bening has reported.
According to him, the agents are angry and have warned their parties to pay them for their services.
Ghana went to the polls on December 7, 2016 to elect 275 parliamentarians for the seventh parliament of the fourth republic and a fifth president for the fourth republic of Ghana.
However, the agents who represented their parties are yet to be paid in Upper West Akyem and that has generated anger among these agents.
They want to paid for their services, Prince Bening stated.
Nana Akufo-Addo , who was contesting his third straight presidential election, secured 5,716,026 votes, representing 53.85 percent, to beat Mahama, who managed 4,713,277 votes, which represented 44.40 per cent.
