Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, the former Member of Parliament for Ofinso North, has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters to embark on an aggressive house- to house campaign for the public to vote for the party.
He said this strategy is the only panacea to ensure that a leadership change in the country occurs.
Dr Apraku said this when he addressed separate rallies at Gomoa Akotsi and Ekumfi Otuam respectively as part of a five day campaign tour by NPP executives in the Central Region.
He said many Ghanaians are yearning for change but it will not come on salver platter and hard work and dedication is needed to reject National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December polls.
Dr Apraku, who was a Minister of Trade and Industry under President Kufour regime, said currently many Ghanaians are going through terrible economic difficulties due to the wrong choice they made in 2012 elections.
He said the NDC has no antidote to the current financial crisis that had hit country.
The former Trade and Industry Minister said businesses cannot thrive as a result of high interest rate that has collapsed small scale and medium businesses.
Dr Apraku said the NPP has capable and men of substance who can overturn the bad policies of the NDC when voted to power.
He urged some supporters who have decided to contest the election as Independent Candidates to rescind their decision and join collective effort of the party.
Dr Apraku said NPP under former President Kufour created MASLOC, NHIS, School Feeding Programme, capitation grant and others to alleviate the suffering of the people.
