Some members of the ruling party are disillusioned with President Nana Akufo- Addo for allegedly approving President John Mahama’s accommodation request.
The approval means President Mahama’s official Cantonment residence will now be his private property. Mr Mahama occupied the house, Bungalow No. 3, Prestige Link as vice president and president respectively.
In spite of earlier denials, it is becoming increasingly clear that Mr Akufo Addo has endorsed Parliament’s decision to offer the said house to his predecessor and this angered many NPP sympathizers who believe the president may have compromised his stance on the fight against corruption.
As usual they took to social media to express their utmost disappointment in the president .
Below are some of the comments
‘If you truly hate corruption as we have come to know you, then please we shouldn’t be seeing you supporting such corrupt deeds and individuals.
Prez Nana Addo shouldn’t be seen supporting such corrupt decisions.
This MahamaBungalowGate is an extremely bad one,’ Jentle K. Mike
“I was really angry when l heard Hon Osei Kyea Mensah Bonsu’s relevation on Oman fm this morning.
Blame no one but the president….Parliament did absolutely nothing wrong…I have struggled to control my emotions all day.
“Are you wiser than Nana Akufo Addo…Do you know more than him..”…Most of the patriots who made the comments are on the Offensive now…What goes around comes around.
REALITY has set in..It is practically impossible not to criticize your government occasionally…|” another member, Nana Sarpong said.
“Eishhh, nana Addo, 2 days in office, 2 blunders, make I hope say its not true.
Don’t lose the goodwill. Mr, don’t try to be more catholic than the pope.
Last warning”
“Dear Nana Addo,
We did not campaign for you to become a Father Christmas.
We know and trust you to protect the public purse.
JM’s request must be denied.
Gracias,” another fired.
