The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress, (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said, executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party must prepare ahead for their funeral next year due to curses invoked by some of their party executives in some parts of the country seeking the gods of their lands to kill anyone who rigs this year’s election.
According to him, the NPP is best known for rigging election therefore, it is obvious the executives of the NPP are going to die right after the December 7 polls hence the need to start purchasing their own coffin for their funeral next year.
“What fascinates me most is the part where those invoking the curses say that, the gods should kill anyone who rigs the election, if these gods indeed could kill, then by the end of next year, all the NPP executives will die because in this county, the NDC is the party which believes in free, fair and transparent elections, but the NPP is well noted for rigging election, so if the’re invoking curses for the gods to kill those who rig the election, then they should get prepared and start buying their own coffins, we will bury them one after the other next year ”
Mr. Nketia, popularly known in politics as General Mosquito, further said, the increasing phenomenon of invoking curses by some executives of the opposition party exposes there hypocritical slogan “the Battle is the Lords” which seeks to deceive Ghanaians that, they depend on God only for their electoral fortunes.
He said this when addressing supporters of the NDC on Saturday during a mammoth regional rally organized by the Ruling National Democratic congress to crown the campaign activities in the region ahead of December 7 polls.
The General Secretary of the Party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia stated that, the party is recapturing some Parliamentary seats previously occupied by the NDC but now occupied by the opposition New Patriotic Party.
He mentioned Fanteakwa North, and South Abirim, Asuogyaman, Abuakwa North, Lower West Akyem, Ayensuano, and Nsawam Adoagyiri as some of the seats in the region the party has targeted to recapture in addition to the seven seats already occupied by NDC MPs in the region.
The rally, held at Koforidua Jackson pack was attended by supporters of the party from across the 33 constituencies in the region.
