National Coordinator of the NDC Kofi Adams has advised Ghanaians “not to make the mistake of voting the NPP into power” in the upcoming polls.
In his view, the NPP’s flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has failed to unite the party and will therefore not be able to manage Ghana if elected.
In an apparent reference to the acid attack that led to the death of the NPP’s Upper East regional chairman, the national organiser of the umbrella family told the teeming supporters of NDC fateful in Cape Coast that “how can you entrust this country into the hands of a party that is involved in the acidification and maiming of its members”.
He continued: “ It is not suprisng that they think that the achievement in the green book is the work of Photoshop. While they are on the acidification of their members, John Mahama is working and developing this country. Don’t let us make a mistake, we need to go back and campaign and ensure that John Mahama is retained. We don’t need to disappoint our children. We can’t trust this country into the hands of someone who cannot pass the DVLA license B,” he said.
Both President John Mahama, his Vice Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and former President Jerry Rawlings have all arrived at the Cape Coast stadium for the party’s campaign launch.
