The NPP held an emergency press conference just a few hours to elections
Ahead of tomorrow’s crucial polls, the NPP has accused the NDC of conniving with the Electoral Commission to issue out some 6000 illegal voter ID cards ahead of tomorrow’s elections.
Addressing the media, Campaign Chair for the NPP alleged that the NDC is making an effort to rig the elections by issuing out illegal voter’s ID cards in a bid to win the elections tomorrow.
He also raised concerns over what he said is the movement of military equipment including 250 G3 rifles by the IGP across the country ahead of the elections to intimidate people and get them to vote for the NDC.
Speaking in an interview with Joynews however, National Organizer of the NDC denied these allegations saying this is a desperate move by the NPP to come back at the NDC. According to him, the NDC exposed the NPP’s efforts to rig the 2016 elections, adding that this is only a backlash by the NPP over yesterday’s expose.
