— President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday blamed the harsh economic situation currently faced by Nigerians on the mistakes the country made in the past.

— The Joint Military Force deployed to the Niger Delta “Operation Delta Safe” says it successfully repelled an attack by Niger Delta Avengers at a gas facility in Delta and killed two pirates in ongoing operations in the region.
A statement by Olaolu Daudu, spokesman of the Joint Force, on Tuesday said that the operations were carried out between Saturday and Tuesday. (Vanguard)
— At least 40 illegal gold miners have been shot dead by suspected armed bandits at Bindin village in Maru local government area of Zamfara state, Daily Trust gathered.
Illegal gold mining sites flourish at some villages in Anka and Maru local government areas. Armed bandits have been raiding the sites, robbing the miners of their belongings. (Daily Trust) Enditem
