RIYADH — A Saudi-led coalition said that a missile fired from Yemen toward the border city of Najran was intercepted, Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.

CAIRO — An Egyptian court on Tuesday overturned a death sentence against ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi and ordered a retrial in a mass jailbreak during the 2011 uprising, official news agency MENA reported.
The Court of Cassation, Egypt’s highest degree court, ordered that Morsi and five co-defendants, including the supreme guide of the now outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, Mohamed Badie, will also be retried. (Egypt-Morsi-Retrial)
DAMASCUS — Russian and Syrian warplanes struck several rebel-held positions in the northern city of Aleppo on Tuesday, as Russia declares a broad offensive on Syria rebels in central and northern regions, activists said.
The military operation, which included heavy airstrikes, started after the rebels rejected repetitive warnings by the Syrian army to leave eastern Aleppo city before a wide-scale offensive launched by the military forces and backed by Russia. (Syria-Air Strikes)
MARRAKECH, Morocco — Altogether 42 countries signed Tuesday the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Partnership to enable an effective cooperation between countries of the North and the South on implementing the Paris Agreement.
