An aide to the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Pius Hadzide, has stated that Nana Addo is ready to lead the battle for the NPP to rescue Ghanaians from the terrible hardships in the country.
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo and his campaign team were left stranded at the Dambai river banks on Tuesday for hours.
The only ferry on the river was stacked at the other end of the river as information from the ferry operators suggested a truck which was moving onto the ferry skidded and partially plunged into the river, making it impossible for the ferry to move, unless the truck had been towed.
Nana Addo and his team delayed for almost 4 hours until they were able to cross to the other side after the ferry was released.
However, some NPP officials say the frustration that greeted them at the banks of the river was sheer sabotage on the part of the Volta regional minister, Helen Ntoso who is also MP for Krachi West.
Commenting on the worrying development that almost distracted the NPP campaign in the region on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM , Pius Hadzide said the unfortunate incident couldn’t affect their itinerary and their programmes at the NDC’s stronghold.
He said despite the 4 hr delay at the banks of the river, “it was very humbling, the crowd we saw yesterday. Volta region has been very fantastic and extremely welcoming.”
He said what confronted Nana Addo’s campaign yesterday at Dambai is the least that could trouble the NPP to lose focus ahead of the 2016 race.
He said the party remained resilient to wrestle power from the NDC come December 7, 2016 asking for prayers from Ghanaians to surmount the orchestrations from its opponents.
