Former Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi has said the NDC had changed its image from a party with a violent and revolutionary background to a party that believes in peace and the rule of law.
He made this statement in Accra when the Chief of Staff and his campaign team met the clergy to explain the party’s manifesto to them.
According to Prof. Ahwoi, the governance strategy of the NDC has also changed.
He said the 2016 election is a choice between progress and retrogression and therefore asked the electorates to vote for the NDC for progress.
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah also stated that campaigning for electoral votes should not bring about fighting.
He noted that the campaigns should be tailored to educate the public to understand the strategies and policies of each political party to develop the country when voted into power.
Members of the Clergy who contributed to the discussion commended the party (NDC) for meeting them ahead of the election and stressed the need for peace during the election.
