Deputy Minority leader, Dominic Nitiwul is predicting a decline of the electoral figures of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December 7 general elections.
According to him, given the abysmal performance of the Mahama-led government, the ruling party will be very lucky to get 48 percent of the total votes cast.
Dominic Nitiwul who made the comment on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday said, President Mahama has failed to fulfill the plethora of promises he made to Ghanaians.
Citing his crippling socio-economic conditions in the country to buttress his point, the Deputy Minority leader noted that government has failed to utilize the resources of the country to improve the lives of the citizenry.
Mr. Nitiwul who is also the Member of Parliament for Bimbila in the Northern region claimed the Mahama-led government has had 224 billion cedis for projects with very little to show.
“Even a class one child will have done three times more than Mahama with such resources; they have sent us to the pre-HIPC days” he added.
The NPP MP however said, he is not surprised about the non-performance of the President since “he [Mahama] was not prepared for the job”.
He maintained that, NDC does not have any moral right to asked to be retained in power because they have failed woefully.
Rather, he urged Ghanaians to choose the flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo Nana Addo whom he said is the most prepared person for the presidency.
“God chooses kings but he does it through human beings lets vote massively for Nana Akufo-Addo to save Ghana from total collapse” he stated.
