Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba has counselled members of the National Democratic Congress [NDC] to mind their party affairs after they lost the 2016 general elections than wanting to correct President Akufo-Addo on any decision he takes.
According to her, members of the NDC should have been quiet by now concentrating on their party issues after all what they keep criticising have come to being.
During a panel discussion on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, she said “I know there are a lot of discriminations against me especially from the side of the opposition parties just because I worked hard, hand in hand with President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo then the aspiring presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party [NPP], for the party to be in power.”
She noted that “when throwing a stone at someone, the other party should also have in mind that the opponent can do the same to you.”
Making reference to some questions asked her during her vetting, Hon. Otiko Djaba stressed “Factually, some questions asked me on my vetting day by some committee members to me had nothing to do with my position to be occupied; rather they were just asked because those individuals don’t like me.”
