The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong has claimed that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is hatching plans to cause his arrest before the December 7th polls.
This, he said forms part of a bigger plan by the NDC to cause chaos in the country ahead of the elections so that they can get the chance to rig the 2016 General Elections.
“They have planned that, they will provoke me to the point that I will be forced to make a statement which they will use as a basis to cause my arrest…,” he claimed.
The NDC, he said is currently making use of a woman whom according to him, has been making false and malicious comments against him.
Kennedy Agyepong speaking on Accra-based Oman FM Thursday, also alleged that, the plan also entails causing the arrest of some of the leading members of the NPP days before the elections without any just causes.
All these plans, Ken said were hatched in the house of an NDC chairman, whom he did not name on 27th August, 2016.
The unnamed chairman, he added also has in his possession about two million voters ID cards which the NDC seized from farmers in the name of providing them with fertilizers and students as well.
“At a meeting on 27th August at their chairman’s residence, the NDC planned to cause the arrest of NPP leaders without any cause so as to distract the NPP… they also planned to bug our phones,” he alleged further.
The Legislator however claimed, the youth of the party would rise up and resist any attempt to carry out such plans which has the potential of causing chaos in the country.
Ken Agyepong also accused some leaders of the NPP of being moles in the party and not working in the interest of the flagbearer.
Such persons, he claimed, have been receiving laptops and other goodies from ministers and deputy ministers within the NDC so they can divulge information from the NPP to the NDC.
