A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic party (NPP) Ayikoi Otoo has described members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) members as ‘stealers’.
According to him, they have plagiarised NPP manifesto which was highlighted by its running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, asking if they really have ideas of their own.
The president on Wednesday at a public lecture highlighted the NDC’s manifesto, saying among other things his government will give one tablet containing soft copies of text books for each child.
But the legal practitioner took to his Facebook page to condemn the NDC and the President, arguing that the idea of one child per lap top was former President Kufour’s idea which was brushed off by the same NDC.
‘I listened to the NDC Manifesto highlights and I can see they are indeed Stealers. They stole the title of our 2012 Manifesto. Now most of the contents of their Manifesto highlights are based on NPP themes some of which were highlighted by Bawumia at his last lecture.
They also say teacher first one of our themes in 2012, they will supply a tablet to each child same as Kufour’s one laptop per child which they condemned and other several other promises all of which I can’t recollect. Do they indeed have ideas?’ he asked.
He wondered why the NDC will always rubbish NPP’s ideas and later turn round to adopt the ideas.
A livid Otoo called on the electorate to reject the NDC, and vote massively for NPP in the December polls.
Read details of his statement:
I listened to the NDC Manifesto highlights and I can see they are indeed Stealers. They will also create Authorities for development in the Districts and Constituencies, they know the value of dams and ponds or irrigation, they still believe in free SHS, they now know the value of factories so they will revamp Nkrumah’s factories throughout the country including Aboso Glass Factory, same as one district one dam,:they will increase production of cocoa, they will construct stadia in each region, they will construct more polytechnics, they will end relations with IMF after this program, something Kufour did and they went back to,they will create more regions like Western North a promise made by Nana and roundly condemned by NDC apologists as vain,
they will bring down interest rates, control inflation…see Bawumia, they will now create jobs in partnership will the private sector, something they claim can only work when the project is costed with the private sector which according to them we don’t do before announcing meaning not properly thought through, they also say teacher first one of our themes in 2012,they will supply a tablet to each child same as Kufour’s one laptop per child which they condemned and other several other promises all of which I can’t recollect. Do they indeed have ideas?
They will be the first to rubbish an NPP idea only to turn round to adopt them eg School feeding, LEAP, free SHS,NHIS now saying they can get better funding to sustain it having fooled Ghanaians of one time premium which never was.
They are now touting Metro mass, but they detained Kufour’s Italian friends who came to do feasibility studies and donated the first buses. They stole the title of our 2012 Manifesto.
Now most of the contents of their Manifesto highlights are based on NPP themes some of which were highlighted by Bawumia at his last lecture.
Reject the NDC, they have no message. Vote Nana and the NPP K3k3 Moko aya ni moko Aba Thatsoor !!!!
