Independent Parliamentary Candidate in the Tamale North Constituency Alhassan Dahamani has assured constituents of a “developmental harvest period” in his second term.
Addressing supporters at his 2016 campaign launch over the weekend, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) revealed that a second bid will see massive infrastructural development and the improvement of livelihoods.
The independent MP prides in driving developmental projects in the constituency including road construction and provision of basic amenities.
He has called on electorates in the Tamale North Constituency to rally behind him to retain the seat.
“Until I was elected, you didn’t know what potable drinking water was,” he observed.
“Most communities in the Tamale North Constituency were without electricity but in my four years I have been able to provide all these among other basic needs that had been overlooked by my predecessor.”
Alhassan Dahamani is being contested by Suhuyini Alhassan of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Hajia Kalsumi of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He believes he has exhibited good deeds to retain the seat.
“I don’t need me to campaign again because my works are evident across the length and breadth of this constituency, retain me and you will witness more of these.”
Interestingly, most supporters who thronged the venue for the campaign launch of Mr. Dahamani were clad in T-shirts of the independent candidate with NDC branded face-caps or vice-versa.
