About 200 National Service Personnel within the Western Region have been assigned with the collection of household data to help in the distribution of litter bins.
The module introduced by the National Service Scheme last year would help ensure a clean country as well as enhance good data collection for planning and development purposes.
Madam Akosua Peprah, Regional Coordinator for the National Waste Bin Distribution (NAWABIN) Programme, said government was committed to ensuring healthy living through proper environmental cleanness.
She said about 2000 personnel would be engaged under the programme throughout the country to help in household data collection and onwards distribution of the various sizes of bins.
Madam Peprah said already some information have been gathered under the programme which could aid in the proper planning and provision of social amenities.
The NAWABIN Regional Coordinator entreated personnel to work assiduously to help in realizing the objectives of the programme.
