It was all colourful and fun at the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC) as the various cultures across the country came together to mark Regional Day.
At the forecourt of the State House, chiefs, queen mothers, cultural troupes and school children gathered to commemorate the week-long festival.
The National Festival of Arts and Culture is an event organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts together with industry stakeholders.
This year’s festival is on the theme: “Promoting a culture of peace for national unity, social cohesion and economic empowerment.”
The festival is hosted by different regions every year and this year the Greater Accra region took its turn.
Addressing the gathering, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, seized the opportunity to advise the youth to translate awareness of the rich Ghanaian culture into positive action and to promote oneness and inclusiveness.
