After his swearing-in on Saturday, January 7 as President of the Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will receive briefing on the state of the nation Monday, January 9, an official of his Transition Team has said.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah told TV3’s Nana Kweku Aduah in an interview on Friday that the president-elect has already been apprised of outcomes of meetings of the Transition Team but will get fresh information on Monday, his first working day.
Mr Oppong Nkrumah, who is also the Spokesperson of Nana Akufo-Addo’s Team, said the incoming president has been furnished with updates from sittings of the Transition Team for Saturday’s ceremony.
“We will also be providing him with another update first thing on Monday morning right after the inauguration.”
He said already the president-elect is in the know about barely all sectors of the country as per the Team’s meetings.
As regards, his inauguration, which will take place at the Black Star Square in Accra, Mr Oppong Nkrumah, who will also officially be at the grounds as Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency, emphasized that “[Nana Akufo-Addo] is ready for tomorrow”.
