President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo has called for more prayers, guidance and counsel from all Ghanaians as leader of the country. Akufo-Addo intensified his calls for prayers and counsel while speaking to members of the Banda Community in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday.

The President-elect explained that his doors are open to criticisms of different sorts and for that reason, good counsel and prayers will help him to be the leader the country so desires. Akufo Addo urged the traditional leaders not to hesitate to correct him when he errs.
Spokesperson of the group, Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong, assured the President-elect of the leaders’ full support, as well as the support of the residents. The group prayed for a successful transition on Nana Addo’s behalf, as he awaits his inauguration on Saturday, as president of Ghana.

Present at the ceremony were Sheikh Omaru Adam, Deputy Municipal Chief Imam of Wenchi; Alhaji Iddrisu Mahammudu, Banda Chief of Wenchi; Alhaji Fuseni Banda, Takyiman Banda Chief; Alhaji Abu, an Elder of the Banda Community; Alhaji Awudu Sadat, former aide to the late Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama, among others.
Nana Addo needs prayers and counsel to be able to rule Ghana. Since his victory, President-elect Nana Addo has constantly solicited for prayers from Ghanaians to enable him take up the tough task of leading the nation. On several occasions, Akufo-Addo has said his administration will implement every promise made to the people, but only with the peoples’ prayers and guidance.
Prayers would be offered for the incoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration today according to reports. The prayer event is being organized by Watchmen Ashanti Region in collaboration with Youth 4 Chairman Wontumi, at the Calvary Life Chapel International in Kumasi.
