President Nana Akufo-Addo has named Commissioner Of Police (COP) David Asante Apeatu as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The new IGP takes over from John Kudalor, who served as the IGP under the Mahama administration for about a year.
The president made the announcement on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 moments after the outgone IGP called on him to bid farewell.
