Nana Addo leaves for Mali today on his first presidential trip after inauguration…
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today, Friday 13th January, leave Ghana for Mali on an official visit. The trip to Mali will be his first travel as Ghana’s president following his swearing last Saturday.
Since after his inauguration as President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has been occupied with appointing staff and ministers who will work under his government. See first and second lists of Nana Add’s ministerial appointees.
So far, the new president has presented two lists of ministers-designate to the House of Parliament for approval. He has also named twelve persons to work as presidential staffers. The President has urged the parliament to quickly do their job, so as to enable them officially kick off their duties, as there is much work to be done.

Reports reveal that President Akufo-Addo is going to hold bilateral talks with the President of Mali, Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, sign some trade agreements with him, as well as discuss how to make headway in the ongoing Gambia political issue.
Although President Nana Addo leaves for Mali today; it is however not yet known to the media when he will be back to Ghana. We’ll update you with information on that as soon as it gets to us.
