Prof Adei has indicated that the incoming President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is about establishing the best cabinet Ghana has ever had in the history of its democracy.
Professor Stephen Adei who is former rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) said this while speaking on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Tuesday, January 3. According to him, there are signs that Nana Addo is going to make a significant difference in the government of Ghana, going by the calibre of people he is appointing as ministers.

Prof Adei had earlier emphasized the need for Akufo-Addo to have the support of a quality team who will help to drive his own personal competence and character in bringing about the promised change in Ghana’s leadership. Now, it appears to be that the President-elect is really putting together the required set of people to spearhead affairs in different facets of the government, the Prof pointed out.
“…The one person, in this case Nana Akufo-Addo makes a difference but also the team he puts in place – and it seems he is on his way to put in place one of the most excellent cabinets Ghana has ever had from the little names which have been dropped here and there. We await the full list,” he said.
Making reference to Prof Kwabena Frimpong Boateng who has been hinted as the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof Adei said he and his wife thanked God in their morning devotion for his appointment because he is certain that Kwabena will not take bribe.
Other would be ministers Nana Addo has given a sneak peek of their appointment include; Mr Alan Kyerematen, as Minister for Trade and Industry; Kwadaso MP Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto as Minister for Food and Agriculture, and Mr Isaac Asiamah as Minister for Youth and Sports.
Rumours are also being circulated that former MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon Frema Opare has been tipped by Akufo-Addo to become the first ever female Chief of Staff.
