NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo Addo, has been installed the Development Chief of the Afife Traditional area in the Ketu North constituency of the Volta Region.
His stool name is Togbe Dunenyo Dzigbordi the 1st.
Nana Addo in his acceptance speech gave the assurance that he will take his new role very seriously and deliver as expected.
“I want to assure them that I will take my responsibility very seriously and I will do everything to uphold the diginity of this office and I will not let them down in any undertakings that I have to do on their behalf. I want to thank them very much,” he said.
His installation comes hours after some Ghanaian voters believed to be resident in Togo, reportedly set up protest banners ahead of a visit by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, to the Ketu South Constituency of the Volta Region.
The protests appear to be in response to the NPP’s claims that the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has plans to bring in Togolese to vote in the 2016 elections.
