Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, Benita Okity-Duah has predicted a landslide victory for the NDC in the constituency in the December 7 general elections.
In an interview with cititv, Mrs. Okity-Duah indicated that the several developmental projects embarked upon by the NDC in the area would enhance the party’s chances of retaining the seat.
“Looking at our performance, across board in all the electoral areas, in all the polling stations, you will realise that Ledzokuku is for the NDC and the NDC is for Ledzokuku,” she asserted.
The MP for Ledzokuku however refuted claims by Dr. Okoe Boye, the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area that the NPP stands a better chance of wrestling the seat from the NDC.
Answering questions on allegations that she has resorted to vote-buying as a result of her dwindling popularity in the constituency, the MP said “helping people to solve personal problems is no crime and does not amount to inducement”.
A confident Okitty-Duah touted her achievements, boasting that her record in the constituency is unassailable.
“I have provided quality education, provision of water and major road construction works and made available other essential social amenities,” she argued.
It was in this direction that the MP urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the NDC in December 7.
