Twenty-two police recruits have been sent packing from the Pwulugu Police Training School in the Upper East Region.
The sacked recruits were said to have applied to the School with fake certificates.
A majority of the affected recruits left the School Wednesday dawn with the rest said to move during the day, our correspondent quotes the Commander as saying.
3news.com‘s Rabiu Tanko Mohammed added that the Commander said the Attorney General will be briefed on the matter with legal action likely to be taken against some.
The recent dismissal follows a mass exercise in February to purge the Service of recruits with fake certificates.
Eight hundred applicants were recruited last year. But eight were affected by last month’s mass dismissal.
That exercise affected the National Police Training Schools (NPTS) in Accra, Kumasi, Ho, Koforidua and Pwulugu.
Commander of the School ACP Victor Adusa Poku cautioned prospective applicants to get genuine certificates before applying.
