Montie FM presenter Salifu Maase, also known as Mugabe, has promised ‘fireworks’ on air from Tuesday, when he returns to the airwaves after his prison sentence was remitted by the president.
Mugabe was one of the three men incarcerated for threats against the country’s Supreme Court. Speaking at the launch of the campaign of Awutu Senya West Member of Parliament Hannah Tetteh on Sunday, Mugabe said he will stoke the fire come Tuesday, when he takes the sit behind the mic.
“People will hear sounds in Ghana,” he promised the teeming supporters.
He told them how Hannah Tetteh has given a good account of herself since assuming the reins at the Foreign Affairs Ministry. He said unlike Ms Tetteh’s tenure, the Ministry was plagued with malfeasance during the era of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said Nana Akufo-Addo’s tenure was characterized with missing diplomatic passports, some of which were later found in Brazil.
He announced that he will be back on air on Tuesday.
“I will be in town,” he promised, saying everybody will hear of him from then.
