Following a highly anticipated build up, Marina Mall in Accra’s Airport city on Monday hosted the opening ceremony of the MARINA MALL INDEPENDENCE ARTS FESTIVAL #MIAfestival.
The sharply colorful event was hosted by celebrity brand ambassador for the event – Vanessa Gyan of Gh One Tv and Live 919fm.
Marina Mall will marks the Ghana @60 independence celebrations with an elaborate display of ART’s crafts, and culture by the best of the best in Ghana’s Arts industry thus, showcasing amazing works such as paintings, pencil art, sculptures, costuming, extreme make up, Live art, Drama, Set design, illusion art, traditional dance, acrobatics, fashion, domestic tourism photography and music.
The objective of this grand celebration is to support the growth of Ghana’s creative arts industry whiles giving customers a special experience to mark the holiday. Participants at the festival get a first-hand experience of the variety of art on display and also the opportunity to network and make purchases.
This celebration is the second of its kind. dubbed Marina mall Independence arts festival it is produced and managed by Oment world Ltd, an advertising and experiential agency under the theme “Our heritage, our pride”.
The festival starts from Monday 6th March, 2017 and ends on Saturday 11th March, 2017 open from 8am to 8pm each day.
Following a successful opening ceremony, the weeklong festival has more thrilling daily events such as cultural display of Nothern, Ga, Ewe, and Akan drumming and dance ensembles, coupled with other spectacular surprises rom Tuesday 7th March to Saturday 11th March.
Saturday 11th March, 2017 being the climax will see a Live concert by Ghana’s iconic Rock Band – DARK SUBURB.
