Forty-Eight (48) year old former Editor of the Daily Telegraph Bismark Bebli has been laid to rest at his home town at Whuti in the Volta Region.
A requiem service was held for him at Sureway Assemblies of God Church in Kasoa in the Central Region before the mortal remains were conveyed for interment.
Colleagues in the inky fraternity were at Kasoa to pay their last respected to the departed journalist in a solemn service which occasionally saw some relations emotionally breakdown uncontrollably.
Bismarck Bebli who left behind a wife Matilda Naa Ameley Bebli and triplets thus Kelvin Eklenam Bebli, Kezia Seyram Bebli and Kenneth Etornam Bebli died in a ghastly accident on January 13, 2017 which coincided with his birthday.
He knocked down together with a policeman on duty, by an Urvan mini bus with registration number GE 8252-12.
He was rushed to the Justab Hospital in the area for prompt medical treatment before he was referred to the Kasoa Polyclinic where he was pronounced dead.
According to witnesses, he was reportedly stopped by the police officer because of the unregistered car he was said to be driving at the time.
While the uniformed officer was checking his car documents, the commercial vehicle, which had tried to avoid ramming into vehicles ahead in a traffic jam after a brake failure, drove towards the senior journalist and the policeman who were standing on the shoulder of the road, knocking them down before entering a drain.
