A 47-year-old man was shot dead Thursday dawn allegedly by an 18-year-old Fulani man at Mpanmu near Hweehwee a community in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern region.
Speaking to Agoo FM, the Nkawkaw Divisional Police Commander Chief Superintendent James Safo Peprah confirmed the incident and added that the body of the deceased has been taken to the mortuary.
According to him, the deceased Kwabena Ankomah heard some strange noise in the store of his mother in-law and decided to find out what was happening in the room.
As soon as Kwabena opened the door of the store, he was shot in the mouth and died instantly.
Muhammadu Osmanu, the Fulani teenager tried to escape but was apprehended by the youth of the community and handed over to the Police.
He is now in police custody while investigations continue.
