The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested 41 year old man Kwadwo Kwakye popularly known as Biggie for defrauding the Manager of Electricity Company of Ghana, Ayigya Branch in Kumasi.
The Ashanti Regional Police Commander DCOP Ken Yeboah briefing the media said a woman called Joana Nyamekye decided to sell her home used Pontiac Vibe car and parked it in front her pharmacy shop with her phone number and inscription “For Sale”.
On the 11th of March 2017 around 10:30 am, Madam Joana was in her pharmacy shop when Biggi came to tell her that his brother was in need of car to buy. Biggi then took pictures of the car and put the pictures on “Tonaton.com” for sale with his phone number.
DCOP Ken Yeboah added that the Manager of Electricity Company of Ghana, Ayigya Branch in Kumasi Mr. Emmanuel Atinaku who was looking for home used Pontiac Vibe car to buy became interested when he saw it and called the number of which was responded by BIggi as owner.
He added that Biggi sold the car to the Manager of Electricity Company of Ghana, Ayigya Branch in Kumasi GHC at a price of GHC 25,000.00 with fake papers.
