PROGRESSIVE People’s Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate for Oka Okwoi South in the 2016 general elections, Madam Harriet Anita Boadu, has noted that the celebration of International Women’s Day should not only be centered on women in the formal sector but also women in the informal sector who constitute majority in the country.
In an interview with Today, Madam Harriet said “women in the informal sector should be factored in the governance of the country”.
Madam Harriet also pointed out that it was high time Ghanaians paid attention to the ‘smaller parties’ like the PPP “because they have policies in place that would help curb the country’s economic problems”.
“If we don’t change our mindset about these two parties- NPP and NDC, we will still face these problems we are encountering”, she added.
Touching on the government’s Free Senior High School policy, she maintained that not only should it be free but also compulsory.
