Dr. Bawumia claimed the expenditure was kept secret by the erstwhile administration.
Majority in Parliament has thrown its weight behind Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia over his allegation of 7 billion cedis which went missing under the Mahama-led administration.
Dr. Bawumia claimed the expenditure was kept secret by the erstwhile administration.
‘“As we interrogated the data to see exactly why our public finances are in the state they are, we found that there is GH¢7 billion of expenditure that has not been disclosed,” he said.
But the minority however refuted the claim of the Vice President describing it as mischievous.
Wilberforce Asare reported that the minority explained the money constitutes government’s financial commitments.
Addressing the media today, the Chairman of the finance committee of Parliament, Mark Osei-Assibey insisted the said amount constitutes arrears that were kept from the incoming administration, the IMF and Ghanaians in general.
