Kojo Acquah Yankah a former Member of Parliament in Ghana. Who also served as a Minister of State in the Rawlings government has also condemned Former President John Mahama’s request to keep his current place of abode as his retirement home is unlawful.
Former President Mahama who has been staying in the Cantonments residence ever since he was vice president and requested to use it as his “retirement home” before the dissolution of the Sixth Parliament after losing the December 2016 elections. This decision by the former President have received a lot of backlash.
Mr. Yankah also made reference to the late Obetsebi Lamptey,of how he was not allowed to keep his residence even though he paid for it, was considered bad enough.
He wrote this on his facebook post expressing his displeasure about the Former President’s decision to keep the state bungalow as part of his retirement package.
