“President John Mahama has already won the elections. He commands excellent good will among majority of Ghanaians because of the appreciation his visionary leadership which has been translated into the massive development projects across the country.”
These were the words of former Ashanti regional Minister, Daniel Ohene Agyekum when he addressed scores of people including traders, students, youth groups and some workers at Juaso in the Asante Akyem South district of the Ashanti region.
Mr Agyekum told the charged crowd including NDC supporters that President Jon Mahama has been compelled to embark on a vigorous campaign because of the deliberate lies being told by the NPP and its surrogates.
He said the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah and other prominent personalities in the NEC have lined the campaign to spread the good news and also to assure the masses of the good policies the John Mahama administration intends to roll out from 2017 when he wins the election.
Mr Agyekum who is also the Board Chairman of COCOBOD cautioned electorates not to make a mistake to vote for the NPP.
“Many of the projects started by Dr Kwame Nkrumah were abandoned or destroyed by the Busia administration when KWAME Nkrumah was overthrown. They did the same between 2001 and 2008 when NDC 1 and 2 under the Rawlings administration left office. We cannot afford to see the numerous projects, roads, schools hospitals and the rest stall because you made a wrong choice” he added amidst loud cheers and applause.
Presidential Staffer Kojo Adu Asare also urged the electorates to vote massively for the NDC Parliamentary candidate for the area to compliment the Presidents work. He also used the occasion to teach the people how to vote to reduce the number of spoilt ballots on December 7.
