Contrary to claims by government that it has changed lives and transformed Ghana, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) believes the Mahama-led Ghana has rather “deformed lives and deformed Ghana.
According to the party’s Policy Advisor, Boakye Agyarko, the lives of Ghanaians has moved from bad to worse in the last eight years the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been in government.
“John Mahama is deforming lives; deforming Ghana; we live in the country where there is unemployment and people cannot afford a square meal a day,” he stated in an exclusive interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday.
He indicated that the Mahama-led government cannot boost of massive infrastructural development when it has borrowed billions of dollars but has very little to show for it.
The NPP Policy Advisor feared most of the projects including Kwame Nkrumah Circle and the Kasoa Interchanges which cost almost half a billion cedis will be very difficult to repay.
He explained that the projects will not generate sufficient income to service the debt which in his opinion will be an albatross around the necks of Ghanaians.
He therefore urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP because Ghana will develop three times faster than it is doing today if President Mahama and the NDC are shown the exit in the December 7 general elections.
Mr. Boakye Agyarko said Ghana’s future is bleak if the Mahama-led government is given another term in office.
